About the size of the state of Colorado, U.S.A., or somewhat larger than Great Britain, in attempts to describe biodiverse Ecuador we find phrases like “the country of 4 worlds” picturing its different regions: The Pacific Coast, the Andes, the Amazon and Galapagos Archipelago. However, Ecuador is culturally and biologically more complex than having “4 worlds”, we will introduce you to off the beaten track nature destinations in Southern Ecuador – the poorly explored Tumbesian region where the Humboldt Current, ancient volcanoes, glaciers and rivers older than dinosaurs have created even more unique habitats combining tropical forests and semi desertic habitats rich in endemic species of plants and birds, including one of the largest petrified forests on Earth, let us show you another world in Southern Ecuador!
