With over 40 years of experience in the Galapagos and as the author of one of the archipelago’s most enduringly popular guidebooks Galapagos: A Natural History, Michael will share with us his unique insights into this remarkable corner of the world. Michael will explore how he has seen these Eden-like islands change and evolve over the last four decades, comparing the rapid changes in the areas with a human population, to the 97% of the islands which are covered by the protection of the Galapagos National Park which remain one of planet Earth’s most remote and pristine wildernesses
